TOUGH TEETH: A new state law requiring large districts to add fluoride to drinking water (A3) must be examined before Ventura County officials decide whether to add the teeth-protecting substance. The county’s largest water district, Calleguas Municipal, may get fluoride from its supplier in Los Angeles. . . . But the smaller Casitas Municipal district is one of many that will escape the effect of state law. . . . Said Casitas district manager John Johnson: “My concern would be the cost of delivering it to everybody, including the trees.”
