Laker guard Eddie Jones underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb at Centinela Hospital Medical Center and is expected to be sidelined six to eight weeks.
Jones, 23, suffered the injury during practice Monday at training camp in Honolulu. The surgery was performed by Norm Zemel, a hand specialist in the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.
