PREP ROUNDUP : Estancia Edges Santa Margarita in Water Polo

Chad Bollenbach and Mark Stephens each scored three goals as Estancia defeated Santa Margarita, 8-7, in the championship final of the Estancia boys’ water polo tournament.
Bryan De Wilde had 16 saves for Estancia (17-4).
The Eagles also won an earlier semifinal game against Valencia, 12-4. Eric Wayman had five goals and Bollenbach three for Estancia.
De Wilde had 12 saves for the Eagles.
In other games at the Estancia water polo tournament:
Santa Margarita 11, Fountain Valley 8--Trevor Walsh scored four goals to lead Santa Margarita (13-9) in a semifinal victory. Chris Ansevin, Tyler Wilson and Brandon Joffe each scored two goals for Santa Margarita.
Cypress 10, Garden Grove 4--Brandon Osborne had three goals for Garden Grove, but the Argonauts (10-10) lost to Cypress in the seventh-place game.
Earlier in the day, Garden Grove fell to Pacifica, 15-3.
In the championship of the Canyon boys’ water polo tournament:
Mater Dei 7, Canyon 3--Ryan Moore and Mike Kolbach scored two goals to lead Mater Dei (12-6) to the title. Goalkeeper Kar Wellfare had seven saves for the Monarchs.
In nonleague boys’ water polo:
El Toro 13, Coronado 7--Mark Tilton scored five goals for visiting El Toro (16-5). It was victory No. 295 at El Toro for Coach Don Stoll, who is in his 15th season.
