In other Mission Conference games:

Fullerton 16, Riverside 0--Chris Diaz’s three field goals of 23, 35 and 31 yards and Mike Jacot’s one-yard touchdown run helped Fullerton run its string of consecutive scoreless quarters to seven with the victory.

The Hornets (2-3-1, 2-0) got 103 yards rushing in 18 carries from Jacot, which was more than enough for the defense, which held Riverside to 261 total yards and an average of 2.5 yards per carry.

Saddleback’s 14 first-quarter points in last week’s game were the last scored against Fullerton.

Golden West 47, Southwestern 30--Charles Chatman, a freshman from Costa Mesa High, rushed for 222 yards and three touchdowns to lead Golden West (3-4, 1-2). Chatman scored on runs of nine, 39 and 74 yards.

The Rustlers led, 28-20, at halftime and outscored Southwestern (2-4, 0-3), 19-10, in the third quarter to put the game away and snap a three-game losing streak.

Dan Blahy finished with 232 yards passing with one interception in 15 of 20 attempts. Wide receiver Wesley Morris caught 11 passes for 166 yards and a 32-yard touchdown reception.

Golden West racked up 681 yards in total offense and 29 first downs.
