FILLMORE : Teen-Ager Stabbed After School Dance
A 14-year-old boy was listed in good condition Tuesday after he was stabbed following a school dance at Fillmore High School on Monday night, and another youth was arrested in connection with the incident.
Jose Villavozo of Fillmore is being treated at Santa Paula Memorial Hospital for stab wounds to his chest and back.
A 17-year-old Fillmore teen-ager, whose name was not released by authorities, was arrested Monday night on suspicion of stabbing Villavozo. The attack reportedly occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on the school grounds.
The suspect had gone to the Santa Paula hospital on his own Monday night for minor cuts on his hand and was arrested by Ventura County sheriff’s deputies at the hospital.
The teen-ager is being held at Ventura County Juvenile Hall on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
No motive is known, and an investigation is continuing, deputies said.
