David Munoz scored two touchdowns and quarterback Chris Collins passed for two more scores to lead Santa Margarita to a 42-22 victory over Tustin Friday in a first-round Division V playoff game at Northrup Field.

The Eagles (8-3) scored on four of their five possessions in the first half for a 28-0 halftime lead.

It could have been all five but Billy Newman fumbled at the Tustin one and Dominique DeGrammont recovered for the Tillers (4-6-1).

Santa Margarita made it 35-0 on a three-carry drive by Munoz. He had runs of 10 and 30 yards before he scored from eight yards out.

Tustin scored its first touchdown in two games in the third quarter on a 13-yard run by DeShaun Foster. Tommy Dobson ran in the two-point conversion.

Tustin quarterback Robbie Caston connected with DeGrammont on a 16-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 35-14.

Backup quarterback Craig Harrison went in from one yard for Santa Margarita’s final touchdown.
