The Wolverines are one-for-one in the playoffs in their school’s three-year history. They beat Monrovia, 24-15, last week behind Trent Perley’s 124 rushing yards. Now the reality. They face the division’s top-seeded team, though it will help to be at home. Scott Nemeth has passed for 1,129 yards with 12 touchdowns and six interceptions for the Wolverines, and Andrew Mashburn has 31 receptions for 481 yards.

University (9-1-1) vs. Riverside Norte Vista (9-2), Riverside Community College, 7:30 p.m.

University turned in a rare performance last week--the Trojans gave up two touchdowns. At the same time, they also scored a season-high 35 points against Duarte for their first playoff victory since 1991. In 11 games, linebackers Fred Roberts, Justin Overdevest and Co. have allowed a county-low 69 points, an average of 6.3 per game. University’s Jarrett Mahoney has rushed for 769 yards and nine touchdowns and teammate Kelvin Murray has added 764 yards on the ground.
