Rose S. Turner; Veteran Executive of Jewish Charities

Rose S. Turner, 92, veteran executive of volunteer Jewish charitable organizations. Mrs. Turner had served as international president of the B’nai B’rith Women, helping the group create the Children’s Home in Israel. She was also president of the Los Angeles Hillel Council, chairwoman of the Los Angeles Women’s Division for Israel Bonds and national chairwoman of the Roosevelt Four Freedoms Memorial Library. Mrs. Turner also served on boards of the Jewish Federation Council, the Anti-Defamation League, the women’s group of the University of Judaism and the U.N. Assn. of Los Angeles. Her extensive charitable work garnered many awards including the naming of lifetime memberships in her honor by B’nai B’rith Women. On Tuesday in Los Angeles.
