Prep Cross-Country Regionals Today

Julia Stamps, who has spent much of the season successfully defending cross-country championships, gets another chance to do it today at the West Regionals at Fresno’s Woodward Park.
Stamps is the defending regional and national champion and will be trying to break her own Woodward course record of 16 minutes 45 seconds in trying to win for the second consecutive week over the same trail. She won the State Division I championship last Saturday for the second year in a row.
The top eight finishers in the boys’ and girls’ divisions advance to the national championships in San Diego on Dec. 9.
