COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Nakanishi Shines for Irvine Valley

Jennifer Nakanishi scored 32 points and had seven three-pointers for Irvine Valley, which beat Grossmont, 76-44, in a nonconference women’s basketball game Wednesday.
Nakanishi had 18 points in the first half and made four three-pointers in the second half when Irvine Valley outscored Grossmont, 41-20. The Lasars improved to 10-2.
In other nonconference women’s basketball:
Cerritos 60, Cypress 53--Holly Pawlowski scored 18 points in the losing effort for Cypress (4-7). Tanisha Coleman scored 17 points and had nine rebounds for Cerritos (11-2). Ebony Charles added 12 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.
Rancho Santiago 75, Mt. San Jacinto 47--Karla Dominguez scored 23 points and Aidee Pacheco had 21 points and 18 rebounds for visiting Rancho Santiago (2-7).
