In nonconference men’s basketball:

Saddleback 90, Imperial Valley 77--Roderick Beavers had 29 points and 11 rebounds to lead Saddleback (10-2). Teammate Anthony Carter scored 28 points.

In the Coast Christmas Classic women’s basketball tournament:

Orange Coast 57, Chaffey 46--The Pirates surged to a 35-14 halftime lead, holding Chaffey to 22% shooting from the floor. Orange Coast (10-3) was led by Tina Afan with 15 points. It will face unbeaten Saddleback in the final today.

Saddleback 71, L.A. Valley 59--The Gauchos outscored Valley, 43-20, in the second half and advanced to championship game. Shanna Renken scored 20 points and Cha-Ron Walker had 18 rebounds for Saddleback (9-0).

In the Golden West Pacifica Hospital women’s basketball tournament:

Canyons 81, Golden West 71--Melissa Dunkerley scored 26 points to lead Canyons (5-5) past tournament-host Golden West in the championship game.

Leila Ryan scored 14 points for Golden West (5-7).
