Anaheim was struck by one of its worst fires in 1982.
Downed electrical lines sparked flames that were quickly spread by strong Santa Ana winds.
A full square block of apartment houses on Palm Lane was destroyed. More than 1,500 people were left homeless by the fire, which caused $50 million in damage and destroyed 534 apartment units.
