The Matadors’ leading scorer and rebounder, forward Damion Morbley, did not travel to the Tennessee Chattanooga Tournament because of grades and may be may be lost for the season. Samford is led by two good three-point shooters: 6-foot-5 forward Jonathan Pixley (18.9 points per game) and 6-1 guard Joey Davenport (17.4). The team’s only big man, 6-10 Dusko Ivaz, plays about 10 minutes a game off the bench.
