Here’s One Kind of Cancellation Packers Can Use

Share

An Eau Claire, Wis., postal official said he’s a Green Bay Packer fan, but he can’t let pro-Packer messages continue to be put on mail.

“We’re just opening ourselves to litigation,” said plant manager Jim Hauger. “At what point do we stop? Do we back abortion? Do we back a political candidate?”

Much of the mail canceled in the Eau Claire post office carried a tiny message supporting the Packers, who are in the NFC championship game for the first time since the Ice Bowl of 1967.

Other post offices across the state also have put pro-Packer messages on mail. Hauger said he’s trying to find the person who is responsible for them.
