2 Die in Apparent Murder-Suicide, Police Say
A man and woman were found dead in their Santa Ana apartment Friday afternoon in what appears to be a murder and suicide, police said.
Officers went to an apartment in the 600 block of South Fairview Street about 2 p.m. to investigate a shooting and found Ana Bertha Enriquez, 41, and Hector Padilla, 48, dead from gunshot wounds, Santa Ana Police Lt. Jose Garcia said.
The investigation indicated that Padilla killed Enriquez and then turned the gun on himself, Garcia said. The gun was found.
Garcia said the couple had been living at the apartment, but no further information was available Friday.
