Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globe might not be welcome in Dallas, or anywhere else in Texas after writing:

“The Cowboys are going to Super Bowl XXX, which means two long weeks of bad hair, big egos, big hair, bad egos, arrogance, corporate gluttony, cheap shots and cut blocks.

“Really how can anyone root for Dallas? If you back the Cowboys, you’ve got to be an insatiable front-runner, a cabbage, or, worse, a Texan.”

A real journeyman: Lance Parrish, a 39-year-old backup catcher who has been with five teams, including the Angels, since 1992, has signed with Pittsburgh.

“To be honest, I don’t know why teams keep signing me,” Parrish said.
