In other men’s games:

Riverside 82, Irvine Valley 81--Sean White made two free throws with no time left for host Riverside (25-4, 8-1). Irvine Valley’s J.C. Timmons made a short jumper with five seconds left to give Irvine Valley (12-14, 3-6) an 81-80 lead. White then drove the length of the floor but missed a short shot.

One official said the game was over, but the other official overruled that and called a foul. Josh Porter had 21 for Irvine Valley, which lost to Riverside, 90-88, in the first round.

Cypress 98, Orange Coast 84--The Pirates let a five-point halftime lead slip away and was outscored by Cypress, 55-36, in the second half. Kevin Morris scored 22 and Jason Krauss had 21 for Cypress (12-14, 4-5).

Golden West 79, Fullerton 70--Rod Scheuerman scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Lydell Hill had 21 points for Golden West (13-16, 3-6).

In women’s games:

Orange Coast 68, Cypress 42--Jamie Shine scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Orange Coast (21-6, 7-2). Linda Rodriguez had 16 points for Cypress (6-18, 1-8).

Golden West 66, Fullerton 57--Caroline Monahan and Nicole Wiora each scored 14 points for host Golden West (15-12, 5-4), which led by as many as 19 in the second half. Nicole deBruijn scored 18 points for Fullerton (13-12, 5-4).

Riverside 64, Irvine Valley 61--Julie Castro, who was the only Laser in double figures, had 22 points for Irvine Valley (19-7, 4-5). Rubio Alicia had 18 points to lead Riverside (20-8, 5-4).

Saddleback 110, Rancho Santiago 51--Shanna Renken had 20, Cha-ron Walker 19, Nekeda Allen 18 and Maureen Skehan 16 for host Saddleback (22-0, 9-0).
