Outlook: The Diablos lack the standout athlete who will guarantee victories in every meet, but make up for that with incredible depth. Gleason was one of the county’s top underclassmen in cross-country, finishing second in the league finals ahead of Santos. Mendoza is one of the area’s elite discus throwers, with a personal best of 162 feet. Ikemiya and Miller head the sprint crew; Gillespie and Kulengo lead the long and triple jumpers. Pole vaulters Lynt and Allen and high jumper Watson will also help in the field.
