Outlook: The Sea Kings’ only loss to graduation was middle blocker Clay Burton, and they return four starters: Coleman, Hoppe, Newcomer and Coon. Hoppe played for the United States at the Youth World Championships in Puerto Rico this summer. Coleman averaged 17 points to lead the Sea King basketball team to the quarterfinals of the Southern Section Division III-A tournament last month. At least five players will contend for the other starting spots. Conti guided Foothill to Century League titles in 1994 and ’95.
