. . . Two Marine Corps pilots ejected from a single-engine jet and parachuted to safety moments before the plane crashed into a slope in Laguna Hills.
The pilots, returning from a training flight in Arizona, had engine trouble on their approach to El Toro Marine Corps Air Station. They were praised for guiding the jet away from residential areas.
