Sunland : Missing Man Found Dead at Tujunga Wash
The decomposing body of a man reported missing was found near Tujunga Wash in Sunland, police said.
Jeffrey Walter Ball, 27, of La Crescenta was last seen about two weeks ago. Lt. Joseph J. Garcia, head of homicide detectives at Foothill Division, said Ball was reported missing March 8 by family members.
Garcia said a Glendale police officer spotted Ball’s car parked near the Tujunga Wash about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. After a search of the wash, the body was discovered near Oro Vista Avenue, just north of Foothill Boulevard.
“It doesn’t appear to be a homicide,” Garcia said. “It could possibly be accidental or a suicide.”
Detectives estimate the body had been in the wash the full two weeks. Garcia said the coroner’s office had yet to determine the cause of death.
