Community Forums to Begin Next Week

To improve communication between citizens and officials, the city next week will begin a series of neighborhood forums, the first for residents of Forster Ranch.
“The ideas is to talk to people in their neighborhoods about what concerns them close to home,” said Carol Bonner, community relations representative.
“A City Council meeting might not be conducive” to that, Bonner said. “This will give people an opportunity to tell us what’s good and what needs improvement.”
Issues to be discussed include the development of the Forster Ranch community park, the Prima Deshecha Landfill, neighborhood safety and traffic, as well as any topics residents wish to bring up.
The first meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. March 27 in the multipurpose room of Truman Benedict Elementary School.
The next forum will be in the Marblehead neighborhood, Bonner said.
