Minor league baseball officially arrives in the Valley region on Tuesday night when the Lancaster JetHawks, a Class-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, open their home season in a brand-new stadium.

In this special section, The Times takes a look at “The Hangar,” the state-of-the-art ballpark where you can relax in a Jacuzzi, get a haircut or have a massage while watching the game.

Graphics show fans how to get to the stadium and what they’ll see when they get there.

Profiled are Manager Dave Brundage, star outfielder Jose Cruz Jr. and the other coaches and players wearing JetHawks uniforms this season. They share a common goal: making the major leagues. We’ll also look at some California Leaguers of the past who have made it, among them Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza.
