BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : Aguilera Is Back on Disabled List
Minnesota put Rick Aguilera back on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Sunday because of a flare-up of tendinitis that kept him out the first three weeks of the season.
Aguilera, trying to return to the starting rotation after six seasons as one of baseball’s best closers, lasted only three innings Saturday in his only appearance.
Saturday’s rocky appearance--he gave up seven hits and four runs--apparently aggravated the pain in his right wrist that surfaced during the last week of spring training.
The Twins recalled former Dodger Jose Parra from Salt Lake to replace Aguilera.
