Mark O’Meara maintained his momentum from a record-tying third round and survived an 18th-hole crisis Sunday to win the Greater Greensboro Classic in North Carolina.

He bogeyed the last hole after driving into the rough and botching an iron shot, but still finished with a three-under-par 69 for a total of 14-under 274. Duffy Waldorf shot a 71 to finish two strokes back at 276.

It was O’Meara’s first victory since he won the Mercedes Championship in January and his fifth victory in 13 months.

Jim Colbert parred the 17th hole to beat Dave Stockton and Bob Charles in a four-hole playoff to win the Las Vegas Senior Classic for the second consecutive year.

Colbert and Stockton parred the first three holes of sudden death after Charles was eliminated on the first hole when he three-putted the 18th.

On the fourth playoff hole, Colbert hit his first shot past the green on the 196-yard par three. Stockton’s tee shot landed in the trap in front of the green. Stockton’s second shot hit the lip of the sand trap and rolled back.

Colbert putted within five feet of the green and sank the par putt to finish with a 207 total. He earned $150,000 for defending his title at the Tournament Players Club at Summerlin.
