From Staff and Wire Reports

It has been three years since Rocco Mediate won on the PGA Tour, so part of Saturday was spent in getting reacquainted with the notoriety that comes with a two-under-par 68 and the third-round lead of the Colonial at Fort Worth.

“I looked at the leaderboard every chance I got, and it was neat to see my name up there,” he said, laughing. “I could get comfortable with that.”

Mediate played through the wind and heat to a 54-hole total of 202 and a one-shot lead over Corey Pavin, who shot a 67 for 203. Fred Couples (68) is at 205.
