A San Bernardino County firefighter and two teenagers were arrested on charges of touching off a series of High Desert wildfires during the last two months that blackened more than 2,000 acres, authorities said Monday.

No structures were burned and no one was hurt in the blazes in Hesperia, Apple Valley and Summit Valley, said a California Department of Forestry spokesman.

Booked for investigation of arson were Jason Paul Pruett, 20, who is a paid on-call firefighter for San Bernardino County; his brother, Nicholas Lee Pruett, 18, and a 16-year-old, the spokesman said.

The Pruetts, who were held in lieu of $75,000 bail, were also booked for investigation of possession of an incendiary device.
