Oarfish Rider Defines Sportsman

So this guy [Outdoors, Aug. 7] comes across an injured 18-foot oarfish off La Paz, notes a sense of terror in its eyes, realizes that it has come up to the beach to die--and decides to jump on its back and go for a ride? He must be really proud of himself.
