Stadium Site

* As a long-time L.A. sports fan, every time that I see another proposal for a new stadium located in the heart of Los Angeles I just cringe (Aug. 26). I don’t know what the planners are thinking. As a sports fan and Raider football fan, I must say it was not the Coliseum’s lack of luxury boxes that kept me away but rather its location.

The same goes for the Clippers. Do the Lakers really want to move to an arena just blocks away from the worst drawing location in the entire NBA? I have friends who have been robbed going from their cars to the game at the Sports Arena. I personally don’t think that a new arena in that area can be built that I would feel comfortable taking my family to.
