OUTLOOK

Gone on offense are league most valuable player Trevor Insley at wide receiver, as well as quarterback Chris Boden and four other first- or second-team all-league selections. On defense, five all-league players are gone. Davis, who rushed for 1,027 yards last season, returns to lead the Tritons on offense. On defense, West returns at linebacker. Hirchag transferred from Capistrano Valley this season after Austin Moherman took over at quarterback for the Cougars last season. Hirchag played free safety for the Cougars and will play defensive back for the Tritons. McElroy puts Hayword in the same class as Boden, playing at Villanova. Bird, Wojocieowski and Morrow all are showing promise on the offensive and defensive lines.
