With 14 starters returning, this may be one of the best teams Kennedy has had in some time. Said Coach Mitch Olson: “We have high expectations.” Hard-hitting safety Garrett Sabol had eight interceptions a year ago and caught 59 passes as a wide receiver. Quarterback Tom Haas passed for 1,619 yards and 13 touchdowns, completing 59.4% of his attempts in 1995. Eight all-league players return. Savanna won’t roll over, though. The Rebels return 11 players, appear to have more size than they did a year ago and figure to run the Wing-T offense again.
