Laguna Beach Set to Take On Oilers

Laguna Beach, second in The Times’ preseason rankings, plays at No. 3 Huntington Beach in a nonleague game Saturday at 7 p.m.

Laguna Beach returns three starters from a team that advanced to the Southern Section Division I final last season. Huntington Beach returns four full- or part-time starters from a team that advanced to the Southern Section quarterfinals.

The Artists lack height but are athletic. The Oilers lost some big hitters from last season but have great ball control.
