San Marcos 29, Royal 14--In a game dominated by special teams, Kevin Bixler returned the opening kickoff 98 yards for host San Marcos and Richard Sleiman recovered a poor punt snap in the end zone for the Royals’ second score.

Braden Fien, younger brother of Ryan Fien (Idaho), passed to tight end Ryan Nielsen for a six-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Bryant Phipps set up the score with a 36-yard interception.
