* The matchup: These Southern Section powers are expected to challenge for the Division II title, so this game could be a playoff preview. Dominguez suits up only 37 players, but its lineup includes two-sport standouts Jason Thomas and Willie Hurst, who helped lead the school’s basketball team to a state championship last season. Thomas has accounted for 542 yards of offense and nine touchdowns and Hurst 398 yards and four touchdowns. Antelope Valley isn’t as explosive as last year’s team that reached the divisional finals, but running back Eric Mobley has 304 yards and seven touchdowns in 40 carries.
