In the 1950s, the company stopped making bread and rolls to concentrate on cakes, pies and pastries. Under her direction, the firm began distributing in supermarkets and expanded beyond Long Island to become a national bakery. Entenmann’s was sold to Warner-Lambert in 1978 and has been resold several times, most recently to CPC International. On Sunday in New York City.
