Grossmont 50, Antelope Valley 37--Lafayette Bailey’s 67-yard touchdown run helped visiting Antelope Valley tie the score, 29-29, in the fourth quarter, but Grossmont (3-0, 2-0) scored touchdowns on its next three possessions in a Foothill Conference game.

Bailey rushed for 111 yards in nine carries for the Marauders (1-2, 1-1), but it wasn’t enough to overcome the passing of Griffin quarterback Akili Smith, who completed 20 of 39 attempts for 308 yards and five touchdowns.

Antelope Valley quarterback Rocque Sandoval completed nine of 16 for 125 yards and a touchdown. He threw one interception.

Sandoval was relieved by Shawn Sharp, who completed eight of 20 for 160 yards and a touchdown.

Marauder receiver Chad Murphy caught two passes for 42 yards and two touchdowns.
