Greenwell Officially a Former Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox made it official: they don’t want outfielder Mike Greenwell back.
Greenwell was designated for assignment as the club shuffled its 40-man roster, nearly three weeks after Greeenwell told the team he didn’t want to come back after 10 seasons with the Red Sox.

Pitching coach Pat Dobson, named in January to first-year Baltimore Oriole Manager Davey Johnson’s staff, was relieved of his duties, the team announced. No replacement was named.
