Fullerton, Northridge Tie in Men’s Soccer

Kris Swanson scored in overtime, in the game’s 114th minute, to help Cal State Northridge salvage a 3-3 tie with Cal State Fullerton in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s soccer Thursday at Northridge.
Fullerton (8-3-2, 2-0-1 in conference) trailed Northridge (4-6-2, 1-2-1), 2-1, until Charlie Lynch scored in the 69th minute to send the game into overtime. Lynch also scored in overtime for the Titans.
In another conference match:
UCLA 2, UC Irvine 1--Although Irvine’s Shandley Phillips scored the tying goal in the 63rd minute, Nick Theslof scored the winning goal five minutes later for the host Bruins (10-3, 3-0).
Irvine is 5-5-2, 1-2-1.
