Throwing In the Towel
The NFL limits towel length to 12 inches, if they’re properly tucked into the waistband, but there’s no such rule in high school. On Thursday, Valencia’s Tarl Lang ran up the middle for 11 yards to the Western 18, but he might have scored had linebacker Kirk Martinez not grabbed the towel that dangled about two feet below Lang’s belt.
