Mother, Baby Missing Since Shopping Trip
Police were searching Monday for a missing mother and her 8-month-old child after family members said they did not return from a Saturday trip to the store for diapers.
Rosalinda Catalan, 22, of Anaheim and her daughter, Silvia, were last seen at 5 p.m. Saturday as they left their apartment near Harbor Boulevard and Orangewood Avenue, police said.
Catalan was walking to the Target store at Harbor Boulevard and Chapman Avenue, about half a mile south of her home, Police Sgt. Mike Hannah said.
Detectives interviewed the family again Monday and had no indications of foul play, Hannah said.
Catalan is described as 5-feet-2 and 110 pounds, with long, brown hair. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. Her baby has curly, brown hair and weighs about 20 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (714) 254-1900.
