Harvard-Westlake 21, Bishop Montgomery 6--Sam Hornblower’s outstanding play on offense and defense propelled the visiting Wolverines.

Hornblower rushed for 185 yards in 29 carries and scored on a 12-yard run. He gained 79 yards in the first quarter, but it was his goal-line tackle of Henry Wallace on fourth down in that quarter that seemed to ignite Harvard-Westlake (5-2, 2-0).

The Wolverines’ Steve Durbin finished with 173 all-purpose yards and scored two touchdowns, including a 58-yard run after he mishandled a snap on a punt attempt.
