Marina Volleyball Beats No. 1 Huntington Beach

Junior Lindsay Phillips had 34 kills and sophomore Ashlee Phillips had 54 assists as Marina stunned top-ranked Huntington Beach, 15-10, 10-15, 7-15, 15-13, 15-7, in a Sunset League girls’ volleyball match Tuesday at Marina.
Chanda McLeod had 16 kills and Julie Renfro had 12 for the Vikings (5-6, 4-3 in league). Huntington Beach is 14-1, 6-1.
After dropping the second and third games, Marina took a 14-7 lead in Game 4 and held on to even the match. The Vikings quickly grabbed a 10-5 lead in the final game and pulled away.
