Two men were killed and another man and a woman were injured when a gunman went on a rampage in a Long Beach neighborhood Friday night, police said.

Officers said the gunman first fatally shot Mario Lopez, 19, and wounded a 22-year-old woman at an apartment house in the 1700 block of Pacific Avenue about 7 p.m. Investigators said the assailant ran away.

As he ran down an alley, the gunman shot and fatally wounded 36-year-old Angel Villa, who was riding a bicycle, police said. They said the attacker ran another half-block, where he saw a man getting into a car. The gunman shot the motorist through the windshield and disappeared into the night, investigators said.

The wounded woman, who was not immediately identified, was reported in good condition at a local hospital, officers said. Officials said the unidentified motorist was in serious condition.
