In the Sonora tournament:

Edison 64, La Mirada 51--Demitri Karnezis scored 12 points to lead Edison (4-3) in the consolation semifinal. Kevin Hemsley added 11 points and John Fong scored 10, all on free throws. Khaled Fakoor scored 18 points to lead La Mirada (2-7).

Savanna 64, Rancho Alamitos 47--Enele Boone scored 13 of his game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter as Savanna outscored Rancho Alamitos, 28-18. Boone also had 15 rebounds for the Rebels. Chris Torina scored 19 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, for Rancho Alamitos.

La Quinta 51, Bell Gardens 33--Scott Oglivie scored 18 points and Drew Smith had 15 for La Quinta, which led, 36-18, at halftime.

Corona del Mar 59, Whittier Christian 40--Corona del Mar (4-6) outscored Whittier Christian (3-7) in the second half, 34-19, and made 10 of 13 free throws. Corey Gority led all scorers with 24 points for Corona del Mar. Matt Oronoz scored 13 points for Whittier Christian.

In the Troy tournament:

Buena Park 37, La Verne Damien 36--Ruben Gasso made four of four free throws in the final minute and Damien missed a shot at the buzzer. Gasso scored 16 points to lead the Coyotes (4-4).

Cypress 45, Newport Harbor 35--Wes Bunn scored eight of his game-high 18 points in the third quarter as Cypress outscored Newport Harbor, 19-6.

In a Gary Raya Coed Classic pool play games:

Canyon 44, Pomona Ganesha 39--Canyon outscored Ganesha, 16-4, in the second quarter to take a 12-point halftime lead. Ali Goodman scored 12 points and Scott Reed had 10 for the Comanches (4-5).

El Dorado 57, Downey 43--Ryan Ayer scored 18 points as El Dorado finished pool play undefeated (3-0). Ryan Tenpas scored 10 points for El Dorado (7-2).

In the Arroyo Grande tournament:

Ocean View 76, Atascadero 61--Kevin Hanson had 21 points and nine rebounds for Ocean View (4-3) in the first-round game. Dave Hatch scored 13 points and Jason Martini added 12 points.

In nonleague games:

Claremont 48, Hawthorne Life and Light Christian 43 (OT)--Derek Simpson scored 20 points for Claremont (7-3).

In the Encinitas San Dieguito tournament:

Santa Margarita 80, San Diego University City 53--T.J. Williams scored 14 points in a first-round victory for Santa Margarita. Ryan Forehan-Kelly scored 13 points for the Eagles (3-2).
