Rodriguez, a guard from La Quinta High, has Cypress off to a strong start. The Chargers are 11-4 after finishing 7-22 last season. Rodriguez had her best game of the season Saturday as she scored 34 points in Cypress’ 73-57 victory over Cerritos. She made six of nine three-point attempts. Also last week, she scored 20 points, including a pair of three-pointers as Cypress beat College of the Desert, 61-50.

* Fullerton, sophomore. She scored 31 points, including 21 in the second half, as Fullerton lost to Cuesta in the title game of the Coast Christmas Classic.
