Body Identified as That of Restaurateur
Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives on Friday identified a bullet-riddled body found in a deserted Palmdale area as that of Martin Armenta of San Fernando.
Armenta’s body was found by a motorist around midafternoon Christmas Eve about 150 yards from 90th Street and Avenue M-8, said Sgt. Jerry Kaono.
The 35-year-old man, who owned a restaurant in San Fernando, was reported missing by his wife, Eva Armenta, on Dec. 19, Kaono said. His wife last saw him as he was leaving his home Dec. 17.
Eva Armenta said an 18-year-old who has not been identified accompanied him, Kaona said.
There are no suspects or motives so far in the case, he said.
