* How about a simplistic solution to one of L.A.’s biggest problems? Bus rides are free? That’s right--no charge, no worry about robberies, no money to be siphoned off in the counting rooms. Usage would go way up. Thus, fewer cars on the streets and freeways. Revenue would be way down but overall we would benefit.
Try it for three to six months; we can always go back. This might be extended to the subways later on if it works.
