A West Hills man has been accused by city prosecutors of selling obscene materials at two computer shows held at Cal State Northridge.

Detectives say Jalin Chi, 36, sold them sexually explicit CD-ROMS containing acts of sexual torture, intercourse and oral copulation last September and October.

Chi was charged Tuesday with two misdemeanor counts of distributing obscene matter and is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 18, Deputy City Atty. Deborah Sanchez said.

Vice detectives say Chi sold them the CD-ROMS during an undercover investigation conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department at two American Mega computer shows at the CSUN Student Union.

Calling his company Cable Express, Chi allegedly sold detectives copies of a CD-ROM called “Extreme Heat,” which they say contained 900 sexually oriented images.

Chi faces a one-year sentence and/or a $2,000 fine for each count.
