Hamilton, Dana Hills Upset Mater Dei

Kiley Hamilton scored twice as unranked Dana Hills upset No. 5 Mater Dei, 4-3, in a South Coast League girls’ soccer game Monday at Dana Hills.

Hamilton, Andrea Warner and Elicia Petre scored in the first half as Dana Hills (10-7-2, 2-4-2) opened a 3-1 lead at the break.

Mater Dei (14-5, 5-3) cut the lead to 4-3 with about 20 minutes left in the game.

In the Garden Grove League:

Garden Grove 1, Los Amigos 0--Garden Grove (10-6-2, 8-2-1) got a goal from Nichole Dohan in the 65th minute on pass from Rhiannon Lee. Carrie Yoak had nine saves for the Argonauts.

In South Coast League boys’ soccer:

San Clemente 2, Dana Hills 0--Kevin Mehrens had four saves for his 12th shutout of the season for host San Clemente (14-3-6, 5-3-1).
