LOOKING AHEAD / UPCOMING PREP EVENTS IN ORANGE COUNTY
WRESTLING
The next big step to the State Wrestling finals begins Friday as the preliminaries start in the Southern Section Individual Wrestling Championships. All four divisions will be competing with the finals on Saturday. In Division I and II, six wrestlers from each division will qualify for next week’s Master’s Meet, which is the qualifying meet for the state finals. In Division III, five wrestlers will advance and in Division IV, three qualify to the Masters. Division I will be at Canyon Springs High School, Division II at Westlake High School, Division III at University High and Division IV at Garden Grove High School. Competition starts at 3 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday.
